- Understanding How The Electricity Moves Across Networks

We are excited to announce the continued progress on our new Power Systems course! The current focus of development is on modules dedicated to one of the most fundamental topics in electric power engineering: Power System Analysis, with an emphasis on load flow and its solution methods. Load flow studies form the backbone of system planning and operation, making it possible to understand how electricity moves across networks, identify potential bottlenecks, and ensure that the system operates efficiently and reliably.
These modules are not only essential from a technical perspective but also pivotal for learners who aim to master the analytical skills required in the field. By tackling the theory and practice of load flow methods—such as Newton-Raphson, Fast Decoupled, and DC approaches—students will be equipped to analyze, model, and optimize real-world power systems.
As with the rest of the course, our guiding principle is to combine rigorous academic content with innovative teaching approaches, including flipped classroom strategies. This ensures that learners actively engage with the material, build strong problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in applying these methods to practical challenges.
We are proud of the progress achieved so far and can’t wait to share the full course with you soon.
