SHARING EXPERIENCES: DRIVING THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODULES

Sharing experiences and capacity building are viewed as the underpinning necessities of the EU-ZW project. Developed modules are considered one of the most significant results of the project towards modernization of energy curricula in Zimbabwe. A workshop (online as well as physical) was contacted on the 1st of August 2025 to capacitate the local team at Chinhoyi University of Technology. Two main topics were (i) sharing some practical experiences regarding Flipped Classroom approach and (ii) sharing the gained expertise on module development in Learnify. The shared experience on the two aspects was gained during the physical meeting in Sweden. The sharing of the experiences was meant to motivate, inspire and capacitate the colleagues who did not get the opportunity to be present during the physical meeting.

Flipped Classroom concept was applied to the sessions of the meeting in Sweden and clear benefits were observed. The perspective allowed for more and beneficial discussions.

Explanation on the definitions and steps towards developing a module in the Learnify had a positive impact towards revitalizing the commitment. The participants called for a physical workshop after realizing how much the shared knowledge can capacitate the individuals. Navigating through the steps of development including the formats and organizations of learning materials together with immediate assistance was perceived to speed up the appreciation and will help expedite the delivery of modules in the Learnify. It is now anticipated that improved progress will be realized especially after the physical workshop.
