Online Local Training On Navigating The Learnify Repository

An online training meeting was conducted by the Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT), the WP2 and WP4 lead partner. The purpose of the training, which was facilitated by Eng. Edson Manyumbu, was to bring up to speed the members from the Zimbabwean universities on the Learnify repository. Learnify, a learning and learning material development platform is central to the project’s key objectives and outputs. The training was initiated after it had been observed that there was slow progress in activities that were requiring the use of the Learnify. Especially new members who came on board needed the training.  

The meeting took place on 15 April 2025, with good participation. The main objective was to enable members to navigate the Learnify repository for twofold purpose: Firstly, for members to be able to go through the QIP module SA501-T02L11CM01 as self-training on the QIP system under work package WP2 and secondly, to be able to set going module development under work package WP4.   

Key points highlighted included the development of a ‘Personal Module’ for networking and collaboration purposes, this being one of the main objectives of the project. Collaboration results in high quality outputs. Quality learning materials lead to quality learning experiences and innovativeness of the graduates. The training was considered worthwhile by the members who expressed that they benefited significantly. Appreciated was the presence of modules within the Learnify to guide on how to navigate the repository to which members were referred for further guidance, see image below.
