The EU-ZW project was presented to high school students from Bulawayo, Matabeleland South, and Matabeleland North provinces who attended a Career Fair that the University organised. A number of exhibitors from different parts of the country also took part in the career fair, which was meant to provide career paths to high school students from the three provinces. The fair ran from the 13th to the 15th of May 2025 and was held at the National University of Science and Technology. More than five hundred students passed through the various stands that were on display, one of which was the EU-ZW project stand that was manned by Destine Mashava and Prof Engr. Mhlanga. Visitors to the stand were shown how students could learn different renewable energy concepts at their own pace using the EEDA online platform. The students who visited the stand expressed interest in knowing how online learning is achieved and whether it was accessible to them as well, especially those studying STEM subjects. Teachers who accompanied students requested to have links to some modules that were relevant to the subjects that they were teaching. Such links were made available to them and hopefully,y they will be used for the benefit of the students. Also on display was the SOLTRAIN train, casing the mobile solar thermal laboratory that is used for training. Based on this model, the NUST team is developing the Remote Laboratory, which also attracted the attention of the teachers and students who attended the Fair. Special thanks go to our funder, the EU.
